Flag Officer Assignment

Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. John M. Richardson announced today the following assignment: Rear Adm. (upper half) Brett C. Heimbigner will be assigned as deputy commander, Joint Functional Component Command, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, U.S. Strategic Command, Washington, District of Columbia.

RADM Heimbigner is currently serving as special assistant to the deputy chief of naval operations for information warfare, Washington, District of Columbia.
