Secretary of Defense James N. Mattis announced today that the President has made the following nomination:

Vice Adm. Matthew J. Kohler for reappointment to the grade of vice admiral and assignment as deputy chief of naval operations for information warfare, N2/N6, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations; and director of naval intelligence, Pentagon, Washington, District of Columbia. Kohler is currently serving as commander, Naval Information Forces, Suffolk, Virginia.

Navy Rear Adm. Nancy A. Norton for appointment to the rank of vice admiral, and for assignment as director, Defense Information Systems Agency; and commander, Joint Forces Headquarters-Department of Defense Information Network, Fort Meade, Maryland.Norton is currently serving as vice director, Defense Information Systems Agency, Fort Meade, Maryland.

Brown is currently serving as director, Warfare Integration Directorate, N2/N6F, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Pentagon, Washington, District of Columbia.

Secretary of the Navy Richard Spencer and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. John Richardson announced today the following assignment:

Rear Adm. (lower half) Dell D. Bull will be assigned as deputy director, operations and intelligence integration, Joint Improvised – Threat Defeat Agency, Reston, Virginia. Bull most recently served as special assistant for Naval Air Systems Command, Arlington, Virginia.

Secretary of the Navy Richard Spencer and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. John Richardson announced today the following assignment:

Rear Adm. Kelly A. Aeschbach will be assigned as director of intelligence, J2, U.S. Strategic Command, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. Aeschbach is currently serving as deputy director of intelligence, U.S. Forces Afghanistan; and assistant deputy chief of staff for intelligence, North Atlantic Treaty Organization Headquarters Resolute Support, U.S. Central Command, Kabul, Afghanistan.
